Spouse of Strahd. First seen at the Funeral for Kolyan, unsure and insecure being manipulated by Strahd von Zarovich.

Escher appeared to take St. Andral's bones in Henrik van der Voort's coffin shop. When a final blow would be dealt to him, the Mist card appeared to protect him.

Balthazar Bane had sent a letter to Escher, implying their allegiance.

Bane and Escher later spoke at Vallaki, where he promised the next time he wouldn't run away.

Escher aided Strahd and Anastraya Karelova at the Beasts' Head Jamboree.
